✈️ Getting There

⚠️ Book flights as soon as possible. Due to ongoing instability in the Middle East, aviation routes and prices are under pressure — flight costs to Ulaanbaatar are likely to increase. We strongly recommend securing your tickets early.
Mongolia is stunning and remote — plan your travel early. We recommend arriving in Ulaanbaatar on Tuesday 28 July at the latest to settle in before the ceremony.
🛫 Lisa & Anar will leave for Mongolia from Frankfurt on Saturday 25 July at 14:20 (Mongolian Airlines flight OM138). Guests flying from Europe may wish to take the same route.
✈️
Flights into Ulaanbaatar
Fly into Chinggis Khaan International Airport (UBN). Main connections from Frankfurt (FRA), Seoul Incheon (ICN), Beijing (PEK), Moscow (SVO), Istanbul (IST), Tokyo (NRT). Book early — July is peak season. Search for flights on Kayak or Kiwi.
🛂
Visa for Mongolia
EU and Swiss passport holders: No visa required for stays up to 30 days — you can enter Mongolia without a visa.

Other nationalities: Check whether you need a visa and apply online via the Electronic Visa Application System. Apply at least 3 weeks before travel. We can provide a supporting invitation letter on request.
🏨
Staying in Ulaanbaatar
See offers on Booking.com and Airbnb. We recommend staying closer to the city centre, around Sukhbaatar Square. Peace Avenue (near the State Department Store) to Seoul Street are lively areas with many restaurants, while the Embassy Road area is quieter.

We will organise accommodation during the celebration and group trip (29 July – 1 August) — see FAQ for details.
🌤️
Weather in July
Warm and mostly dry — 20–28°C during the day, cooler at night (8–14°C). Pack layers and a light jacket for evenings. Brief rain showers are possible.
💊
Health & Insurance
No mandatory vaccinations for Mongolia. We recommend you get a travel insurance for your trip.
💵
Money
Local currency: Mongolian Tögrög (MNT). ATMs available in Ulaanbaatar. USD sometimes accepted in tourist areas. Cash recommended outside the city.

Not at all — each event is completely independent. Many guests will come to just one. Please RSVP specifying which event(s) you'll join so we can plan accordingly.
Please RSVP by 19 April 2026.
Guests are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs for both events. We'll provide recommendations and logistical support wherever we can — but flights, hotels, and transport are at guests' own expense. For Switzerland, we do have a small number of very simple accommodation spots near Château de Vaumarcus — see the accommodation section for details.
Yes, of course! Please mention any children attending in the notes field of the RSVP form.
EU and Swiss passport holders: No visa required for stays up to 30 days — you can enter Mongolia without a visa.

Other nationalities: Check whether you need a visa and apply online via the Electronic Visa Application System. Apply at least 3 weeks before travel. We can provide a supporting invitation letter on request — just ask.
Ceremony (Wedding Palace & Monastery): Please dress elegantly and respectfully to honour the traditional nature of the ceremony. Traditional Mongolian dress (deel) is encouraged and celebrated.

It's fully optional — indicate your interest in the RSVP form.

We'll be organising transfers and accommodation in Gorkhi-Terelj National Park from 29 to 30 July (celebration only) or 29 July to 1 August (celebration + group trip), according to your selection in the RSVP. Guests will cover their accommodation and the optional group trip, and we'll be in touch again with more details once the bookings have been finalised.
We'll be flying from Frankfurt (FRA) on Saturday 25 July at 14:20 on Mongolian Airlines flight OM138, arriving in Ulaanbaatar the following morning. We'd love to have other guests join us on the same flight — if you're flying from Europe, this is a great option. Check availability on Kayak or Kiwi.
